October 13th
1- Power is based on perspective

2- Depending on perspective making peace can have positive and negative aspects (Egerton Ryerson)
3- Cultural decisions may lead to structural changes and thus lead to negative (violent) decisions.

1- Peace has many definitions: it is not the lack of conflict but finding ways to deal with conflict leading to peace.
2- Hidden messages through stories and animations and how to safely use them in the classroom.
3- When is war just and how to lay down criteria of making that plausible.
October 17th
1- As educators it is our duty to be authentic and mindful of the use of AI.
2- We decide how our identities reflect on us and the way we perceive ourselves also how others perceive us.
3- In student-teacher relationship it is the duty of the person in control to dictate a healthy relationship that has no abuse but rather authority. for example I would tell my student "No" once when they try to take over the conversation and then I stay silent which makes my point clear without exerting abusing power.
4- there is more that's brings us together than we share.
October 18th
1- We as educators are the knot tiers and connectors between students and the world around them especially when it falls apart or one strand breaks through.
2- We must build healthy relationships with students but keep boundaries and considering safeguarding.
3- we must understand the needs behind a student's behavior rather than just reacting to the behavior itself.
October 19th
1- Children learn best when they interact with their environment. The surrounding influences development and directly affects behavior.
2- we as educators may not be able to change systems or outside environments but we are the owners of our own classrooms and we can tailor them to fit students needs.
